Who we are

JP and Michelle are both passionate foodies, with a depth of experience in the industry. Jp has trained and worked as a chef for over 20 years. He started at a humble kitchen in a small town near St. Louis, moving on with time to more upscale restaurants in Chicago.  There he learned to hone his culinary skills and discovered a specific love for Basque style cuisine. 

After 8 years in Chicago he moved out to California to help open a restaurant in Santa Cruz, where he met his now wife, Michelle. They moved to Michelle's home island - Kaua'i, shortly after their wedding and are proud parents to two little boys. 

During the last few years JP has taken a break from working in restaurants, to allow for more time to be spend with his family and explore personal cheffing. He loves helping people discover what good food tastes like and his appreciation for detail and consistency is unmatched. 

Michelle had her first child in 2020 and her second in 2023 and it was in that tender postpartum period that she became aware of the nutrition gaps that are preventable and sadly common to many new mothers. During Michelle’s second pregnancy she felt more in tune and balanced, both mentally and physically, than the first time around, thanks to her developed awareness of the essential role nutrition plays pre, during and postpartum. This past year she honed her maternal health studies as a nutrition consultant at Oh Baby School of Holistic Nutrition. 

Michelle and JP are excited to combine their deep love for cooking along side their wide breadth of nutrition knowledge to help bring nourishment to new mamas and their families.
